No one actually *likes* to talk about password security, but it’s incredibly important to the ongoing security of your business. If you or any of your employees are using any of these commonly used passwords, then read on; you’re someone who desperately needs to reconsider their password policies.
## Consider These Weak Passwords
Weak and commonly used passwords expose your accounts to more dangers than more complex passwords or passphrases would. These are the worst offenders that should never be used under any circumstances.

- password
- 123456789
- 12345678
- 12345
- 1234567
- qwerty
- 111111
- abc123
- password1
Here are some others that you must consider (or rather, stay away from):
- letmein
- iloveyou
- admin
- welcome
- monkey
- dragon
- football
- !@#$%^&\*
- 123123
- Sunshine
It’s very easy for a hacker to guess the passwords on this list, so you should be intentional about not using them. You should always opt for a strong password that uses the following: upper and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters. You can make this combination stronger and easier to remember by using passphrases stored in a password manager. This also allows you to use strong, military-grade encryption.
